Other Facts

Firstly, the high peak is located between Pakistan and China. Secondly, Austrians Fritz Moravec, Josef Larch, and Hans Willenpart, first climbed the mountain on July 7, 1956. Thirdly, Cory Richards, Denis Urubko, and Simone Moro were the first set of people to reach the summit in winter. Fourthly, Felix Berg and Adam Bielecki reached the top of the mountain from the west face. Fifthly, the parent mountain range of Gasherbrum ii is the Karakoram.

The prominence of the mountain is at 1,524 m (5,000 ft). Also, it is classified as both an eight-thousander and an ultra-prominent peak. Furthermore, the easiest route to the summit of Gasherbrum ii is through the Snow/ice climb route. Carrying on, Karl Unterkircher and Daniele Bernasconi reached the summit of the mountain, carrying their own equipment, food, and shelter (Alpine Style). They were the first to achieve this feat.
